Daddy

I love my Daddy.  He is a really nice daddy.  He was the first one to hold me when I was born, so I think we get on really well now.  He is always kissing and cuddling me.

The only thing I am not happy about is that I don’t see him enough when I’m in hospital.  Visiting hours are very strict :-(  I want to see my Daddy more, especially before he goes back to work on 7 December.

I am being a bit naughty.  I don’t cry when I’m with Daddy (except yesterday when I was having a bath), but I do all the time for Mummy – oops, sorry Mummy!  I will probably cry a lot more when I get home and Daddy will look after me while Mummy gets better!

Mummy

I love my Mummy.  She pushed so hard to get me out, but my head was the wrong way around (oops, naughty me!) so Mummy ended up having an operation to get me out :-( .  Sorry, Mummy.

Mummy is looking after me really well while we are both in hospital.  She has been breast feeding me, and her milk is delicious!  I keep wanting more and more (I guess I am greedy like my Daddy)!

My mummy is the best mummy in the world.  Now, where can I get some more of that milk?!

Oops, I’ve got jaundice!

Oops, I made Mummy and Daddy worry today, because it was confirmed that I have jaundice! I don’t need all the red blood cells I produced while I was in Mummy’s tummy to stop me getting nasty things like infections, so my liver is getting rid of some of them. This is making me go a bit yellow!

I have to have these nasty blood tests out of my poor little foot so they can keep an eye on my jaundice. I will have another one tonight. I DON’T LIKE THEM! *waaaaaaaiiiill*

My first visitors

Nanna, Grandad, Nanny, Grandie, Uncle Olly, Aunty Kirsty and Aunty Sam came to visit me on my first day.   I think they have all fallen in love with me *boast boast*.  Teehee!

Hello world!

quit looking at me!

Hello!  My name is Corey William Robert Wilks, and I was born on 19 November 2009 at 1.11am in Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny!

I am very happy to be out of Mummy’s tummy, but it is very cold out here!  I don’t like it!  I want to be warm!

I am being given antibiotics to prevent infection, through IV.  It hurts!  But I’m Mummy and Daddy’s brave little solider and I can put up with it!

I’m hoping to go home on Sunday afternoon!  I can’t wait to have a ride in the car in my car seat and see my house! :-)
