My first Christmas!

Merry Christmas everybody! Santa paid me a visit this morning! *beams*.

Today, Mummy, Daddy and me had a busy day! Cor blimey! I opened my pressies fast asleep, and then Mummy and Daddy opened theirs!

We went over Nana and Grandad’s house to see them and Uncle Olly, went up the Pentwynmawr Workingmens’ Club to have a pint (oops, I meant to see Aunty Diane, Gareth, Cheryl and Bailey!) *giggles*. Then, we went to Nanny and Grandie’s house for Christmas dinner!

In the evening, Nana, Grandad and Uncle Olly came over to my house!

Here are some of the pressies I had! A swing and a playmat! Thank you, Mummy and Daddy!

Here I am having a play on the swing

and on the playmat!

I’m such a clever boy! ;-)

I’m clever! I’m clever! I’m very very clever! I have a super-brain! *grin* Ok, ok -- you don’t know what I’m talking about!

I’m only a month old and already I can feed myself and hold my dummy in my mouth! Also, if Mummy or Daddy want me to hold something for them, I can. See … c-l-e-v-e-r!! Don’t believe me?? Here’s the evidence………! :-p

Preparing for Christmas!

I’ve been helping Mummy and Daddy wrap Christmas pressies (I told you I’m clever!). I can’t wait to give everyone their presents this year! I wonder what everyone has got for me?! *claps hands in glee*.

I know Santa hasn’t forgotten about me because he sent me a letter in the post! I’m a special little boy apparently! *smile*

Here are some pics of me wrapping pressies!

I haven’t been well :-(

I’ve had a virus :-(

Mummy noticed something was up on Thursday because I started being sick quite a lot after my feeds and wasn’t able to sleep as well as I have been doing up till now. I also developed a bit of a cough and been a bit sniffly. It’s not nice at all. Mummy took me down the doctors on Friday and the doctor said I had a bit of a virus but am not too bad. He told Mummy to keep an eye on me over the weekend and make sure I have plenty of wet nappies so I’m not dehydrated and hopefully I’ll get better without any medication. I must remember to wee a lot then!

I didn’t like being examined by the doctor. I was sleeping nicely until Mummy pulled my trousers down for the doctor to poke my belly and feel my chest with a cold stethoscope. He also stuck a funny beeping thing in my ear to check my temperature (which was a little high – oops!) I decided to start screaming – that showed them! Once Mummy put my clothes back on and cuddled me, I was ok!

Daddy was working in London when I was ill, so I missed his cuddles :-( I was looked after by Mummy and Nana and had plenty of cuddles from them! :-)

Fyi, I’m a lot better now – just in time for Christmas! :-)

Christmas shopping!

Whoo! Mummy, Daddy and Nana took me out Christmas shopping in Cardiff today! Daddy drove us to the new St David’s 2 shopping centre, where Mummy, Daddy and Nana have never been before. I could tell that Mummy and Daddy were mightily confused about where they were when we came out of the car park!

When we arrived, I was due a feed, so Mummy and Daddy took me to Starbucks, and while I was drinking away out of my Tommee Tippee bottle, Daddy had an almond latte! Mummy and Nana had tea! When I finished my food, Mummy and Daddy took me into the changing room to change my nappy (the first time they’ve ever changed me in public – oooooh!).

And then we went S-H-O-P-P-I-N-G! Well, I tell a lie – Mummy, Daddy and Nana went shopping, while I just slept in my pram!

Mummy and Daddy met Nanny and Grandie for lunch in Nando’s, and I had another feed there and then!

All in all, I really enjoyed my first shopping trip! Mummy and Daddy, can we go again soon?!? :-)

Sunday lunch!

Mummy and Daddy took me down Nanny and Grandie’s house today, and lots of people came to see me! Popular, aren’t I?! *grins* They were Aunty Annette and Uncle John, and Linda and Stuart.

We had a Sunday roast too (okay, okay, Mummy, Daddy, Nanny, Grandie and Auntie Kirsty did, not me!), and it was very nice to have us all around the table!

And, I finally got to have a photo taken with Auntie Sam! Wheee!!

Milk, milk, milk!

I love milk! I drink it every three hours, but I need someone to help me drink it! I’m still only little, you see? *giggle* Poor Mummy is trying to keep up with me! She is still feeding me exclusively on breast milk so she’s having to express milk every couple of hours. She’s doing well keeping up with my demands – I’m impressed!

Splish splash!

Baths -- what can I say about baths? I don’t like getting wet, but I think I’m getting used to it. It’s actually quite nice when the water is warm.

I had a bath in hospital and I screamed all the way through. I had another two baths at home where I screamed but on bath number four I decided to give it a chance and I suppose I quite enjoyed it! Maybe when I get older I’ll splash and splash and flood the room!! *grin*

Here are some photos of me enjoying the bath for the first time!

Here is a video clip Daddy took after I had my bath. Don’t I look cute all wrapped up in my towel?! ;-)

I’m registered!

I’m now officially and legally Corey William Robert Wilks! Mummy and Daddy took me to the register office today and registered my birth. It wasn’t easy for them to get me ready to go and I made them about 10-15mins late for their appointment *giggles mischievously*.

I was due a feed before we went so I gobbled up all my food, then Daddy changed my nappy and got me dressed. As we were about to go I … wait for it … yep, filled my nappy!! Hahaha!! Well, when you gotta go, you gotta go, eh?!

I was a good boy after that though, I slept all the way through the appointment and I even slept another couple of hours so Mummy and Daddy could have a meal in The Crossways – see I’m a good boy really! :-D
